If you're weighing up a built-in (prefabricated) barbecue, the first thing you want to know is what it actually costs. The honest answer: it depends on the material, the size, and whether it includes side trays or a sink. Here are real numbers, not a vague range.

Price ranges by material

Across our catalogue, a complete built-in barbecue runs roughly from €1,360 to €2,405. The differences aren't random:

• Iron: the most affordable in the range (from €1,380), because the metal body is manufactured as a single reinforced piece and doesn't require carved stone or a masonry chimney.
• Stone (Alpes, Pyrenees): the mid-range, between €1,360 and €1,810 depending on whether it has one or two side trays. The stone is cast in a single mould so the heat of the fire never loosens it, which adds a little to production cost compared with iron.
• Design and wood-effect models: the highest tier (up to €2,405 on the two-tray versions), since they combine a 3mm iron chimney with a more elaborate finish and surface.

What pushes the price up within the same model

Number of side trays

A side tray adds usable surface (for plates, drinks, or a sink) but also more construction: it typically adds €150–€350 over the tray-less version.

Overall dimensions

The longer barbecues (two trays, up to 270–300cm wide) use more material and more factory assembly time, which shows up in the final price.
